The Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Unit is considered one of the basic units affiliated with the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, who represents it at the University’s Quality Directorate. This unit aims to develop the necessary indicators to measure the outcomes of the study plan, in addition to following up on the evaluation and auditing processes in the college. Evaluation and Measurement Office
It is concerned with developing measurement and evaluation tools within the college in accordance with standards of quality and academic accreditation and ensuring verification that academic achievement reflects the true picture of the student’s level and ensuring justice and transparency in measurement and evaluation.
Tasks of the Evaluation and Measurement Office
- Preparing the measurement tools (scales and questionnaires) necessary for evaluation operations.
- Supervising the application of various measurement tools, analyzing them, and presenting them in complete confidentiality to the person concerned with the evaluation in order to benefit from them in enhancing the positive aspects and addressing the negative aspects, if any.
- Analyze the results of course tests and provide some statistical indicators of the quality of the tests, such as reliability coefficients and the difficulty of the questions, which can inform coordinators in evaluating the suitability of the questions to measure students’ academic achievement.
- Present and discuss the evaluation results to faculty members to exchange opinions on developing student evaluation methods.
- Providing advice to users of scales and questionnaires on how to use them, analyze them, and interpret their results.
- Organizing and implementing training courses in measurement and evaluation with the aim of developing measurement and evaluation skills.
- Prepare performance indicator reports periodically.
Office of Internal Audit
He supervises the conduct of a periodic review of the quality processes at the university by auditing the quality of performance in achieving the set goals in a systematic and organized manner. It also works as a guiding body that examines, reviews, follows up and analyzes the results and submits recommendations and proposals to the administration for consideration.
