Based on the mutual desire between the two universities to deepen scientific cooperation relations and the desire of each to deepen and strengthen cooperation between them in all joint scientific fields, it was decided to conclude a goodwill agreement for scientific and administrative cooperation (its provisions are listed below):
Article One: Joint Scientific Work
- The two universities will exchange documents and information that serve their scientific research and higher education programs.
- The two universities will cooperate in conducting joint scientific research of a strategic nature at the national and international levels.
- The two universities will exchange invitations to participate in conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and other scientific and academic activities held at each university.
- The two universities will cooperate in various fields of studies, consultations, and expertise.
- Providing scientific support, advice, and expertise to the Arab League Private University for Science and Technology.
- The oldest university contributes to teaching at the Arab Private University for Science and Technology in the specializations available to it through the exchange of teachers and lecturers.
- Mutual accreditation of graduate degrees by the two universities according to academic standards agreed upon by both universities.
Article Two: Graduate Studies and Scientific Research
- The two parties shall cooperate in supervising and evaluating graduate theses through the applicable regulations.
- The two universities shall exchange the regulations and rules governing their graduate studies.
- Each party shall inform the other of the areas and topics of scientific research it is conducting and that need to be conducted.
- Conduct joint scientific research.
- The two universities shall cooperate in the fields of authorship, translation of books, and joint publishing.
- The two parties shall exchange documents, publications, pamphlets, and periodicals. and books published by each of them.
Article Three: Exchange of Academic Visits
- The two sides will exchange academic visits by members of the teaching and technical staff for the purpose of giving lectures, teaching, training, and scientific review.
- The two universities will exchange student visits for undergraduate and graduate students in various scientific fields to benefit from the scientific capabilities available at each university for training and conducting scientific research.
- Exchange of loan of faculty members between the two scientific institutions for a renewable academic year by agreement between the two parties in accordance with applicable regulations.
Article Four: Financial Conditions
The costs of any mutual activities between the two parties will be agreed upon through official correspondence.
Article Fifth:
- The agreement is considered valid for a period of five years from the date of its ratification by the competent authorities in accordance with the regulations in force between both parties.
- The agreement is automatically renewed for an additional five years after its expiration unless one party notifies the other party in official writing of its desire to terminate it six months prior to the renewal date.
- Any clause or article of this agreement may be amended, changed, or added to the articles of this agreement after consultation and agreement between the two universities through official means. This shall be considered valid after its ratification by both parties in accordance with the procedures followed by each of them.
