The development of wind catchers meets crescent concern in Architecture, because wind catcher is a natural ventilation and air conditioning tool. It still, up to date, has the fame in adaptation to different environmental actors, but many new techniques were added, and Contemporary types of wind catchers were appeared in various climatic zones of the world.
This research aims to study that developed types of wind catchers, and to know their new developed techniques and the aim of their application in several climatic areas. All that for getting the advantage of their applications to achieve healthy and natural ventilation inside the contemporary building spaces, by accommodation the Thermal Comfort standard and the climatic data specialized every area, and corresponding the principles of green and sustainable architecture.
