Abstract:

The problem of erosion at the present time, a big problem and that the increased use of metals and alloys in the present life. In many cases is the surface resistance to erosion is the most important factor that has been used for treatment (Asalkna) that allow to improve the surface quality of the metal without changing the mechanical properties.
This study aims to add to a silica types of cheap steel (S235JR = St37-2) and to determine the surface properties of carbon steel (micro hardness and corrosion resistance).
Where Asalkna been applied for (2) hours at the temperature 1200
oC 565,1000,1100, and by using ammonium chloride and ammonium fluoride in a mixture silication.
Demonstrated technology electron microscope high summit of silica (precipitated on the surface of carbon steel), compared with the top of the iron when heat treatment of the degree of 1100
oC and use of fluoride of ammonium in a mixture silication, and also increases resistance of the outer surface of the steel carbon corrosion at the same previous conditions in the middle of the sea water it was obtained on the rate of corrosion protection of 97%.
