Currency plays a very important role in the country's economy, and the reliability of the currency is an integral part of the confidence of the general public in the economy, Due to the development of printing and scanning techniques which are available to the public today, currency forgery has become possible and easy. Manual counterfeit currency detection consumes a long time and is not 100% reliable, Hence the need to design an intelligent system useful in detecting counterfeit currency accurately and quickly. After studying and practical application of several methods used in machine learning, we adopted the deep convolution neural networks in building a 100% intelligent system to detect counterfeit currency.
