Synthesis and Spectral Characterization of Ni(ΙΙ) and Co(ΙΙ) Complexes With Thiocarbohydrazone Ligand

Shaza Ghali

Abstract:

Thiocarbohydrazide was Synthesized by reaction of Hydrazine hydrate and Carbon disulfide, The reaction is done by two steps, in the first step form a water-soluble salt (HDTC) and in the next step decompose by heating to produce Thiocarbohydrazide and H+2S the metal complexes of Ni(II) and Co(II) have been synthesized by using the organic ligand (SATCH) formed by condition 2- hydroxy-1- benzaldhyde and thiocarbohydrazide by molar ratio (2:1).

Complexes were prepared with previous ligand with electrolytes (Co+2, Ni+2) bymolar ratio (2:1) metal: ligand.

Some spectral characteristics were studied for thio compound, ligand and prepared complexes by spectral (IR, UV, 1HNMR, 13CNMR), The results of this study showed that it agreed with the proposed Formulas and structures for these complexes.
