The research was carried out on trees of the 18-year-old Sourani and Daebli olive varieties planted in the village of Al-Rabiah west of Homs about 10 km away, during the agricultural seasons (2016 - 2017) and (2017-2018) with the aim of finding out the effect of destruction the fruits embryo on the alternate bearing phenomenon, quantity and quality of production. The embryo was destructed manually on 5 dates:
Compared to the control (D0). With a study of several indicators such as (length of parcel, The total number of buds, length of phalanx, The percentage of vegetative shoots, percentage of flower buds, Percentage of lots, quantity of production unit production, weight of 100 fruits, percentage of pulp / fruit, percentage of oil)
The results showed that the process of destruction the fruit embryo had a positive effect on the studied traits and for both varieties, the best treatments for the Sourani variety for the length of the parcel for the two seasons of the study was the treatment (D3) (18.15 cm),for the length of the phalanx in the treatment (D5) (1.45 cm), and for the percentage of flower buds in the treatment (D2) (61.13%), for the percentage of the buds in the treatment (D3) (4.57%), for the production of the production unit (D2) (828.77 g), and for the percentage of oil in the treatment (D3) (28.58%), as well as for the Daebli variety, destruction the fruit embryo contributed to the regularity of bearing and reducing its alternate bearing, and the best treatments for the length of the parcel was the treatment (D2) (20.53 cm), and for the length of the phalanx in the treatment (D5) (1.38(Cm), for the percentage of flower buds in the treatment (D3) (60.87%), for the percentage of treated nodes (D3) (4.31%), for the production unit in the treatment (D3) (729.81 g), and for the percentage of oil in the treatment (D3) (26.34%).
