In this work, we have studied the influence of tensile speed on the tenacity, breaking extension and breaking work of Syrian cotton ring spun yarns. Mechanical properties are usualy the major contributer to the yarn quality and his cost . we can say that this research is important analysis study to clarify and orient the control workers in all our factories in Syrian country about the change of yarn properties with the change of test speed on the tensorapid. In many applications, the most important mechanical properties of textile substances are their tensile characteristics, that are defined as deformation under forces applied along their axes. The tensile speed during tensile testing influences yarn strength , yarn Elongation and breaking work.
Rapid speed testing results in higher breaking extension and breaking work.
Concerning the breaking load, the test speed seems to have a significant effect on the breaking strength of cotton ring yarn.
We can say that the coton yarn is sensitive to the variation of the test speed
