Despite the fact, that the cartographic community was not very enthusiastic about the satellite image maps, these products became very common in most of countries. There is a clear consensus that accuracy assessment of maps is an important aspect of both maps producer and user. All maps contain errors, but the use of new methods and techniques for production and processing of digital maps has improved the map accuracy.
In this research, some layers were produced form satellite images produced from QuickBird with spatial resolution 0.61m. Then, a comparison between coordinates of several scattered points between the base map of scale 1:1000 and the resulting map from image where performed. Accuracy assessment included, check the errors are random and their frequently curve look like normal distribution. The check was performed for skewness and kurtosis. For skewness, on axis X, the value was -0.658 and on Y axis was 0.489. for kurtosis, on axis X, the value was 0.525 and on axis Y was 0.4. Confidence ranges for mean with 95% level was checked and its value for X axis was between -0.351 m and 0.191 m and for Y axis was between -0.112 m and 0.512 m.
