The concentrations were determined of the most basic air pollutants (SO2, H2S, CO, O3, NOx, TSP, PM10, PM2.5) in some vital areas in the Tartous city of and its surroundings using a mobile unit to measure air pollutants. The results showed high values for SO2, NOx, CO in the thermal station circumference and more than the allowable limit in the cold period of the year. As the CO values rose in the courtyard of the province and was close to the limit, while the concentration of ozone was low in locations where nitrogen oxides ones increased. The values of TSP, PM10, PM2.5 overall higher than the permissible limits.
