The research aims to measure the gap between the availability of the Lean Manufacturing mechanism and the current work reality in the industrial establishments under study, by preparing the necessary checklists to identify the compatibility of the procedures for applying this methodology with the current work method, and the appropriateness of the organizational culture prevailing in the establishments under study to apply Lean Manufacturing, and the availability of the necessary skills and method of work to apply this methodology
The results of the research indicated the high level of gap between the procedures for applying this methodology and the current work reality, and the inadequacy of the organizational culture currently prevailing in the establishments under study to the organizational culture required procedures and steps of the work of this methodology, and the lack of sufficient skills to apply this methodology
The most important recommendations of the research were the need for the establishments under study to conduct awareness campaigns to raise the awareness of the concerned senior management and those in charge of the work of the importance of applying lean manufacturing, and the need to encourage teamwork, And the need to address the needs of customers, follow the initiative strategy, train workers in order to eliminate all forms of waste, and use statistical, administrative and planning tools to eliminate all steps and processes that require time and do not add value to work
