Professor Dr. Muhammad Yahya Mualla, President of the Arab Private University for Science and Technology, headed an academic delegation consisting of Professor Dr. Ahmed Zahi Al-Shawaf, Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Sufi and students from the Faculties of Petroleum Industries Engineering and Chemical Industries Engineering to Kazan State University in Russia (founded in 1804) in order to review its educational programs, and work to coordinate with its scientific and administrative cadres in order to conclude an academic cooperation agreement that benefits our university, which seeks to develop its scientific outputs and prepare them with appropriate scientific and practical preparation.
This scientific visit resulted in scientific results, the most notable of which are:
1- Concluding a scientific cooperation agreement that involves sending a number of students from all of the university’s faculties and higher institutes to attend training courses for a period of two to six months in the summer, and to receive Their counterparts at our university.
2- The possibility of sending a number of our university professors to conduct scientific research in the laboratories of Kazan University.
3- The possibility of joint academic supervision of graduate theses at both universities.
4- Conduct joint scientific research of interest to both parties.
5- Attending conferences and seminars held by both universities.
6- Publishing the results of joint scientific research in publishing outlets at the two universities.
The professor, the president of the university, held a meeting (in the presence of members of the delegation) that included deans of colleges, deputies, and professors concerned with scientific research. He presented to them an integrated picture of the rationale for the visit and its academic results, and urged them to study the prospects for cooperation and coordination between our university and Kazan University to empower researchers and students. To keep abreast of developments in the fields of their academic specializations, request the study of these topics in the field of the college, and provide the university presidency with joint projects and scientific research.
