When Man began his settlement in villages or human assemblage, he started in building his home by himself depending on natural materials that help him in its construction. By time, he used those materials in construction and the techniques for building the rural house developed to adapt the surrounding environment and the increased requirements. Through centuries this situation began to fall back in the construction of the rural House that most of its characteristics diminished in traditional rural House.
This research aims to analyze the structural elements, materials and the factors which affect the development of rural House through the last century in Homs.
