This research has been interested in the production of new building materials that have the advantages of mechanical insulation and strength using two different materials. Polystyrene foam produced by expansion and oak bark has been used for new production. After the production of extruded polystyrene foam was blended with oak bark by 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25% and 30%. Samples were subjected to a number of experiments to identify the properties of
insulation and mechanical strength. As a result of these experiments, we have concluded that when increasing the proportion of oak bark for foam polystyrene, which is the problem of expansion of the samples, it will reduce the thermal transport and increase the resistance of compression but increased absorption of moisture for you, we found that when the proportion of fiber 20% was minimal mobility and low absorption rate Good compression resistance. We recommend that other additives be tested for better insulation with minimum moisture absorption.
