The petroleum industry passes by several stages, started by exploration to finish by oil refinery and distribution. During exploration stage, multi parameters of oil presence accumulate, but finally we must drill an exploration well.
There are many ways to indicate oil formation, but the best method is the Drill Stem Test (DST). DST is qualitative method to indicate oil presence in formation, obtain oil sample and evaluate the reservoir properties, production capacity.
In this research, we focus on the DST chart, to interpret and analyze ideally the DST results. We applied this study to analyze DST chart in Syrian oil fields (Al-Fourat Petroleum Company).
