Develop a Software Library to Test Big Data Applications in a Simulated Hadoop Environment

Abstract:

Software testing greatly contributes to error detection and processing before it is deployed to users, to ensure that the software is suitable for user needs and that the integration of system functions with each other properly must be tested in an environment similar to the environment in which it will be deployed.
The emergence and widespread deployment of Big Data applications have made it imperative to test and validate the services provided to users, many tools for storing and processing Big Data have been adopted, most of them based on the Hadoop platform through distributed data storage using the distributed Hadoop file system and processing of data stored using the MapReduce model, which has contributed to the emergence of
new tools to test these applications.
Through our study, the HadoopOperationTesting software library has been developed to provide Big Data applications labs with a mechanism to test their applications in a simulated environment for the Hadoop environment with a similar mechanism to test traditional applications using the JUnit library.
