In this paper, we propose a Thermo-elastoplastic model coupled with damage to describe the effect of temperature on the mechanical behaviour of isotropic transverse rock (Argillite de Tournemire). At first, we present a brief abstract of our experimental results of the effect of temperature (high temperature up to 250 C°) on the mechanical behaviour of (Argillite de Tournemire) for two directions (parallel and perpendicular to the stratification). In a second time, we describe the effect of anisotropy and temperature on the mechanical behaviour of this rock, an elastoplastic model coupled with damage by implementing of the (fabric tensor) will be presented. A series of numerical simulation are performed to simulate the thermo-mechanical behaviour. This comparison between the experimental and numerical results shows the validity of the proposed model.
