The Role of Thermal Methods in Raising the Recovery Factor, and the possibility of application in the Syrian Fields

Abstract:

This research was conducted to study the feasibility of using Thermal Methods to increase the Recovery Factor from the (The Syrian Fields). At first ,a literature review of the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods in general  was conducted ,especially Thermal Methods ,including Thermal Methods Definition ,displacement mechanisms, classifications, types, and screening criteria, in Practical Section  after studying  Reservoir Characteristics of The Syrians Fields(case study)  as (AL-Gbisih,AL-Furat , AL- Roumailan) and the data were correlated with the requirements Thermal Methods Injection conditions ,then a suitable fields were selected for application this technology.
